Copycat P.F. Chang Chicken Bowls

I haven’t been to a PF Changs in years, but I can distinctly taste these lettuce wrap. They’re always a must order! This copycat recipe is pretty close to the real deal minus all the sugar and other scary ingredients added.

I decided to make as a bowl because it’s way less messy. I used a mixture of white rice and cauliflower rice as my base - switching it up! I also added a side of sautéed bok choy for some greens. I topped everything off with the new chili oil from @traderjoes and WOW it’s good. Very spicy! 🔥

Here’s how you make it.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground chicken

  • 1 can water chestnuts sliced

  • 1/2 onion diced

  • 3 cloves garlic minced

  • 1 in ginger grated

  • 1/4 cup tamari

  • 1 tablespoon hoisin

  • Green onions sliced

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • Rice/cauli rice

  • 3 heads baby bok choy

  • Sriracha

  • Sesame seeds

  • Chili oil

Instructions:

  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan on medium. Add the chicken and break up with a wooden spoon. Add the onions and cook until no longer pink and the onions are translucent. Drain fat if needed.

  • Add in the garlic and ginger, and cook another minute. Mix in the tamari, hoisin, and sriracha. Add the green onions and set aside.

  • In the same pan heat the remaining oil on medium high. Add the sliced boy choy face down until it has a nice sear. Sauté and top with chili oil, salt, and pepper. Assemble the bowl and enjoy!
