I’m a huge poke gal and it’s so easy to make yourself! The key is buying the freshest sushi grade tuna you can get your hands on. The best place to find it is the farmers market. There’s truly nothing better than fresh fish. It’s such a great way to get your omega-3s which supports a healthy brain, and healthy skin!

You can adjust your bowl with whatever topping you like. I prefer some heat to mine!

Here’s how you make it.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb sushi grade tuna

  • 3 tablespoons tamari

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 1 jalapeño sliced

  • 4 green onions sliced

  • 3 cloves garlic minced

  • 1 in ginger grated

  • Sriracha

  • Spicy mayo

  • Avocado

  • Sesame seeds

  • Furikake

  • White rice

Instructions:

  • Cook your rice and let cook off. Cube up the tuna and in a large bowl mix with the tamari, sesame oil, green onion, jalapeño, garlic, ginger, a splash of sriracha, and a pinch of salt. Let marinade for at least 30 minutes.

  • Assemble bowls with all ingredients. Enjoy!
