Copycat PF Chang’s Chicken Lettuce Wraps

If you didn’t order these as a kid when you went to PF Chang’s then you are seriously missing out! These wraps are honestly so good I don’t think I ever need the original again. The best part about them is how EASY they are to make. If you are intimidated by cooking chicken, ground chicken is the way to go - it’s almost impossible to under cook. Do NOT skip on the water chestnuts here. They add the perfect crunch you need, and are a great source of fiber which helps keep you full. Some day soon I will have to make a vegetarian version using mushrooms!

Here’s how you make them.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground chicken

  • 1 can water chestnuts chopped

  • 1/2 onion chopped

  • 2 green onions sliced

  • 2 cloves garlic minced

  • 1/2 in ginger shredded

  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce

  • 1 tablespoon hoisin

  • 1/4 cup coconut aminos

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 head lettuce of choice for cups

Instructions:

  • Heat a nonstick pan on medium, add the chicken, and break up with your spoon. Drain the fat once the chicken is no longer pink, and add the olive oil then the onions. Cook for 5 minutes until onions are translucent.

  • Add the ginger and garlic and let cook for another minute. Next add the green onions, water chestnuts, and sauce ingredients. If you’d like some heat add sriracha! Mix until fully combined and heated then serve on lettuce cups. Enjoy!
